The BIMsmith Best Awards are back with a new group of standout products shaping 2026.
Each year, the BIMsmith team of architects and designers evaluates new and emerging building products to highlight what's shaping the future of building design. The awards center around the International Builders Show (IBS) and Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS). As one of the largest AEC industry events in the world, IBS/KBIS provides the perfect opportunity to engage directly with the newest and best products on the market.
This year's winners were selected for exemplary excellence across five key criteria: design, performance, innovation, thought leadership, and human progress. Together, they represent the products solving real problems and elevating industry standards in 2026 and beyond.
2026 BIMsmith Best Award Winners
Roccesco Collection
by Brizo | Download Brizo Revit Familes
Brizo has always treated bathroom fittings as a design medium, and the Roccesco Collection fits that philosophy perfectly. Named after the Italian word for "spool," Roccesco draws from Italian contemporary design to arrive somewhere genuinely its own. The forms are geometric and structured, but there's a looseness to them too, a sense that precision and personality don't have to work against each other. Faucets are available in arch and square spout options, four handle styles, including a new reeded-glass lever that borrows from the language of high-end furnishings, and four signature Brizo finishes: Brilliance Black Onyx, Brilliance Luxe Gold, Polished Chrome, and Matte Black.

The shower components extend the same thinking. The Halo Shower Head delivers full-coverage immersion through a raincan-style funnel design, while the Sconce Shower Head takes a quieter approach, its circular and linear motifs forming a sculptural silhouette with midcentury roots. For a collection that could easily have settled for beautiful, Roccesco is doing something more considered. That balance of sculptural ambition and everyday livability is exactly what makes it stand out.

Miraia Reflective Fiber Cement Panels
by Nichiha | Order Miraia Samples | Download Miraia for Revit
Metal has long been the default choice for reflective façades, but it comes with tradeoffs that are hard to ignore: cost, weight, and an inevitable encounter with rust. Miraia is the first fiber cement panel to offer a credible alternative, achieving a high-gloss reflective finish through engineered fiber cement without any of those compromises. It brings a genuinely modern aesthetic to a material known for its durability and low maintenance. Available in Onyx, Glacier, and Snow, the finish options are considered without being overcrowded.

What makes Miraia worthy of attention is how quietly it expands what fiber cement can do. The integrated rainscreen system handles moisture management without additional components, and the material holds its appearance over time in a way that reflective metal cladding often doesn't. A product that opens up new aesthetic territory without asking for a more complicated build.

Firepoint Fire-Rated Sheathing
by Arclin
Wildfire risk has fundamentally changed what building codes need to do and what building products need to deliver. Firepoint is a direct response to that shift. Firepoint is a fire-rated sheathing panel engineered with patented intumescence technology that significantly slows flame spread through the wall assembly. In testing, it demonstrated 53% greater fire resistance than code requires and withstood fire for up to 90 minutes on a 60-minute wall assembly.

What separates Firepoint from other fire-resistant sheathing is that the performance doesn't come at the expense of the build process. Panels are lightweight enough for one person to carry, require no special fasteners, cut cleanly without chipping or flaking, and eliminate the need for shaft liner interior or gypsum exterior. Compatible with liquid-applied WRBs and approved sealants, it can also withstand six months of weather exposure without compromising its fire performance. For architects and builders working in wildfire-prone regions, or simply trying to build smarter without adding layers of complexity, Firepoint represents a meaningful step forward.
4D Porcelain Large-Format Slabs
Stonepeak's 4D Porcelain does something large-format slabs haven't managed before: the veining, shading, texture, and pattern visible on the surface continue seamlessly through the edge, eliminating visual breaks and reducing the need for mitered edges entirely. Available in nine colors across 12mm and 20mm thicknesses, it gives designers the freedom to specify a single cohesive material across countertops, tabletops, custom furnishings, and more.

Against natural stone, it delivers a comparable aesthetic while outperforming it on durability, with superior stain and scratch resistance, heat tolerance, and UV resistance for outdoor use. Porcelain that competes directly with natural stone on aesthetics and outperforms it on durability is a meaningful step forward. That's what put 4D on this year's list.

Bianco Lasa Covelano Fantastico | Petra Finish
by Antolini
Few materials arrive with the kind of history that Bianco Lasa Covelano carries. Quarried from the Lasa valley in northern Italy, it is widely considered one of the most valuable marbles in the world, and spending any time with it makes that easy to understand. The natural stone is defined by a translucent white background of exceptional uniformity, a quality that gives it an almost luminous presence in the right light. Its remarkable hardness allows it to be mirror-polished to a degree that draws out the full depth of its brilliance, color range, and natural transparency.

The Fantastico variety introduces a softer, more organic variation into that pristine base, lending architecture a character that feels simultaneously refined and genuinely natural. In the Petra finish, those qualities are presented with a surface texture that adds another layer of tactile richness to an already extraordinary material. Antolini holds exclusive rights to Bianco Lasa Covelano Fantastico, and at KBIS 2026 it was presented within an immersive village-style booth designed by Alessandro La Spada, a setting built specifically to let natural stones of this calibre be experienced rather than simply seen.

Synthos™ Workstation Sink
by KOHLER
Built around a sculptural, multitiered ledge system, Synthos™ Workstation Sink is KOHLER's most expansive and fully realized take on the workstation format. The ledges accommodate integrated accessories that bring prep, rinsing, and cleanup into a single continuous workspace, reducing the back-and-forth that makes kitchen tasks feel tedious. A low-profile linear drain, sloped base, removable drain cover, and floating sink rack are all included, each detail considered in terms of both water flow and day-to-day usability.

Construction is stainless steel throughout, with SilentShield® Plus technology handling noise reduction to a standard that's noticeable in a busy kitchen environment. Workstation sinks have become a genuine fixture of modern kitchen design, but the execution varies considerably. Synthos stands out for bringing a level of considered detailing and material quality to a format that can easily feel like a concept stretched beyond its limits.

PDS Solar Venting Skylight
by FAKRO
Natural light and ventilation are two of the most requested qualities in modern design. FAKRO's PDS skylight delivers both, and does it with genuine technical conviction. The Infinity Glass detail removes the raised frame found in conventional skylights, producing a cleaner profile while eliminating a common point of water ingress.

Triple glazing and an EPS foam-filled PVC frame bring the U-factor down to 0.29 BTU/h ft² F, which is among the lowest available on the market. The solar-powered venting is fully self-contained, with rain sensors, an integrated battery, and a factory-programmed remote included as standard. For a product category where design and performance have historically pulled in different directions, the PDS is a well-considered step forward.

ADORN® Stone ECO₂LUXE® Stone Veneer
by NCP Industries | Download ADORN® Stone for Revit
Manufactured stone veneer has long been valued for its aesthetics and ease of installation. NCP Industries is now asking what it can do beyond that.
ADORN® Stone ECO₂LUXE® is built around CaptureCrete® technology, a concrete additive that actively attracts, captures, and permanently mineralizes CO₂ within the material itself. It lowers embodied carbon during manufacturing and continues absorbing carbon dioxide over time, meaning the environmental contribution doesn't stop at the point of installation.

Projects using ECO₂LUXE may also qualify for LEED points and carbon credit opportunities, giving specifiers a tangible sustainability argument to bring to clients. What makes ECO₂LUXE® a BIMsmith Best winner is the way it approaches sustainability as an engineered feature rather than a credential. The carbon reduction is built into the material, not bolted on afterward.
HercuWall™ Insulated Concrete Panel System
by Nudura
Construction timelines are notoriously hard to protect. HercuWall™ is built around changing that. Fabricated off-site and delivered ready to assemble, this insulated concrete panel system takes the chaos out of concrete construction. Numbered panels make installation straightforward, labor demands are significantly reduced, and costly rework becomes a much rarer conversation. Developers have reported saving two to three months on project timelines while increasing density and delivering a stronger finished product.

Structurally, HercuWall delivers R-31 insulation, up to 40% energy savings, three times the strength of traditional building materials, and wind ratings up to 235 mph. That combination is particularly relevant for multifamily, assisted living, and institutional housing, where long-term occupant comfort and structural resilience tend to carry more weight than upfront convenience. If it means fewer delays, less risk and better buildings, it's the kind of product that earns its place on the BIMsmith Best list.

The Signature Rockwell Grill
by True Caliber
Most grills are designed around the cook. The Signature Rockwell was designed around everyone else too. Created in collaboration with architect David Rockwell, it's built as a freestanding, 360-degree social grill, conceived to replicate the communal pull of gathering around a picnic table. The defining feature is a fully retractable lid that disappears beneath the cooktop when open, leaving the entire surface visible and accessible from every angle.

Three exclusive 20,000 BTU Crossflame™ burners deliver even heat across a 666-square-inch cooking surface, housed in a handcrafted marine-grade aluminum body built to the same standard as True's commercial refrigeration line. This year's launch reintroduces the grill in Crimson, a richly saturated red that speaks directly to the warmth the design was always built around. David Rockwell brought genuine architectural intent to a product that doesn't often get it. That's what put The Signature Rockwell on this year's list.
Zip Clip™ Hidden Fastening System
by FastenMaster
Deck fastening is one of those installation steps where small inefficiencies compound quickly. The Zip Clip™ Hidden Fastening System was designed to address that directly. The clip's key distinction is in the sequencing: boards are laid out first, then clips slide into position, letting installers set spacing before fastening rather than managing both at once.

One universal clip handles flat blocking, double joists, and hard-to-reach areas without switching between types, and when boards need adjusting, the clip backs out cleanly without damaging the surface. The best installation innovations tend to be the ones that make you wonder why it wasn't always done this way. ZipClip is one of those.
Congratulations to the Winners of the 2026 BIMsmith Best Awards
