As a designer, Swatchbox is as simple as it gets. It all starts with a platform called Swatchbox Pro.

What is Swatchbox Pro?

Swatchbox Pro is a unified sample platform for architects, interior designers, and other building professionals to explore and request building product samples for free expedited shipping.

Swatchbox Pro brings together thousands of samples from the world's top building product manufacturers.

Architects and designers can browse material samples, view collections of curated products, add to their cart, and check out for free with lightning-fast shipping to arrive at their door the next day or second day, depending on their location.

Everything ordered by an architect or designer arrives in one recyclable box, eliminating up to 43% of carbon emissions that would otherwise be expelled from individual shipments from manufacturers around the world.

Then, once the designer is finished with their order, they can return any samples they don't want any longer. If the item is in good condition, it can be placed back into inventory and recirculated to other designers. Otherwise, the item can be recycled through the Swatchbox Sample Recycling program.

Swatchbox for Manufacturers

On the manufacturer side, Swatchbox is designed as a service for building product manufacturers to improve the sample fulfillment process for their customers without having to build out any additional infrastructure. Here’s how it works.

How Swatchbox works for Building Product Manufacturers:

  1. Ship us your samples. We place them in inventory and integrate them into our proprietary sample management platform.
  2. Install the Swatchbox web app. Swatchbox’s e-commerce plugins for samples allow you to embed our sample management engine onto any page on your website. This typically involves (a) embedding a Sample Storefront on a central Samples page on your website and (b) embedding an “Order Sample” button on product pages that launches the Swatchbox Engine for a specific product.
  3. Launch your products on Swatchbox Pro. In addition to your own site, watch as architects and designers discover your products on Swatchbox and place samples requests.
  4. Sit back and relax. As designers come to your site and order samples, the orders will be received by the Swatchbox system, picked and packed by the Swatchbox Team, and shipped for delivery within 1-2 business days of the order date.
  5. View and report on order information and key metrics from Swatchbox Analytics. Our proprietary Analytics platform is your portal to access and manage insights regarding your sample program. From leads to geographic analysis and product trends, Swatchbox shows you metrics that can help you understand where your focus is most needed.
  6. Replenish and add options as needed. Our inventory system will provide alerts and requests for sample replenishment when inventory levels for any product are low. At any time, you can add samples, collateral, or bonus treats to your Swatchbox inventory at no additional cost.
