The Colors and Stories of Fallingwater presentation discusses the how and why the setting, colors and materials were selected for Fallingwater. Every specification came from a source of inspiration with nature being the main muse. See why the natural ochre color was chosen for the interior and exterior surfaces, how engaging the senses became part of the build recommendations and the materials selected continue to inspire architectural specs.

PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1. Attendees will discover how and why the colors from nature are still relevant in today's contemporary market.

2. Attendees will review the original Fallingwater color palette specified by Wright with an in-depth look and dissecting it to reveal connections to nature.

3. Attendees will learn of the key design styles of Fallingwater which Wright greatly contributed to and even founded.

4. Attendees will learn how Wright harnessed control of Fallingwater to not only include architecture but also landscape design, lighting, textiles and furnishings.

5. Attendees will learn how and why Fallingwater was deemed one of the most significant architectural achievements of the 20th century.
