BIMsmith
Every December, the BIMsmith community comes together to celebrate creativity, craft, and a shared love of Revit. This year marks the sixth edition of our BIMsmith Winter Wonderland Holiday Revit Family Competition, and we’re excited to see what you’ll create.
Your challenge is simple: design a winter holiday-themed Revit family. Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s, or any winter-inspired idea is welcome. The goal is to end 2025 with a showcase of your talent, imagination, and good holiday spirit. Show off your creativity, share your work with the community, and compete for prizes and recognition.
How to Enter
To join the 2025 competition, make sure your entry includes:
- • a Revit family you created (no imported geometry and no work of others, please)
- • a clear connection to a seasonal or holiday theme
Then follow these steps:
- 1. Upload your Revit family here
- 2. Share an image of it publicly on LinkedIn, Facebook, X or Instagram. Tag BIMsmith and include #BIMsmithWinterWonderland
- 3. Follow BIMsmith on whichever platform you use
Multiple entries are welcome, and the competition is open to everyone. Your work must be original. The deadline is Monday, December 29th, 2025 at 5:00pm CT (GMT-6)
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by the BIMsmith Team of Revit experts and our guest judges based on:
- • Creativity - Bring your imagination to life
- • Execution - Consider quality, usability, and BIM standards
- • Functionality - Go beyond geometry to add meaningful usefulness

- • 2nd Place: $250 Amazon Gift Card
- • 3rd Place: $100 Amazon Gift Card
- • Honorable Mentions: $50 Amazon Gift Card
The top 10 entries will also be eligible for publication on BIMsmith Market.
