Anguleris Partners with Avitru for BIMsmith-MasterSpec Integrations

BIMSMITH 7/10/2018

It's been an exciting season at Anguleris.

We recently announced our groundbreaking partnership with Avitru (formerly ARCOM), the developer of AIA MasterSpec. It's a terrific relationship that's been developing for a while, and we've already been having fun working together to engineer some pretty exciting solutions. There is significant opportunity for collaboration and improvement between building product specifications and BIM content, and we're excited to tackle these opportunities as a joined force.

As the sole developer of AIA MasterSpec, Avitru (formerly ARCOM) brings decades of technical expertise to the table and commands tremendously high regard across the AEC industry. This partnership is set to produce multiple integrations between MasterSpec and BIMsmith, giving users a seamless and time-saving interchange between both leading platforms. Some of the integrations have already been taken live, but the full scope of the partnership will continue to take shape in the coming weeks and will be available to all registered users of MasterSpec and BIMsmith when they are released.

The BIMsmith and Avitru teams announced the partnership at this year's A'18 AIA Conference on Architecture in New York City on June 21 and 22. We had the opportunity to run joint demonstrations, host manufacturers for a free coffee hour, and have numerous conversations with architects about ideas and feedback for further collaboration between Avitru and BIMsmith.  It was a fun experience to hear the buzz among both architects and manufacturers, so we're excited to see the reaction when the full extent of features become available.

It's been fun so far, but let me tell you - the best is yet to come.

Check out the full BIMsmith-Avitru release for more details on the partnership.
