Each year, color and design experts around the world predict certain colors that they believe will shape design in the coming year.

The most notable of these forecasts often come from the world's largest paint manufacturers. With 2023 just around the corner, here's an overview of what each of the major paint manufacturers has announced as their 2023 Color of the Year.

2023 Color of the Year: PPG Paints

PPG Paints announced their 2023 color of the year as Vining Ivy - an enchanting deep aqua.  Vining Ivy represents both contemporary and traditional styles that perfectly marry a touch of the past and a taste of the future.

Along with Vining Ivy, PPG Paints also announced their 2023 color palette in three trends - Serenity, Origin, and Duality.

Serenity is a design theme that reflects our relationship with ourselves while combining the feeling of tranquility and quietness.  Among this color palette are Gypsum, Beach Vibes, and Keepsakes

Origin can be best described as being "one with nature." It comes with an aesthetic approach where nature determines the architectural lines and boundaries.  Cool Clay, Mostly Metal, and Pine Forest are all featured within this design palette.

Duality celebrates the dynamics of our relationships with each other.  It was inspired by Art Deco, with a contemporary twist.  Included in this color palette are Crystal Oasis, Georgian Leather, and Lilac Breeze
